Colonoscopy Research Sweden (CRS) is a group of researchers active in Sweden within colorectal endoscopy, whose main purpose is to conduct and support clinical colorectal endoscopy research.
Organization
The group consists of researchers in Sweden with a special interest in and documented research activity within colorectal endoscopy. The group consists of a limited number of members, approximately 15-20.
A non-member may be co-opted for specific projects in consultation with the research group.
The group’s chairman shall be a senior researcher, at least with an associate professor title.
Officers and Terms of Office
Chairman: Term of office of two years, with unlimited re-election.
Secretary and webmaster: Term of office of two years, with the possibility of one re-election.
Other members: No term limit.
Meeting schedule
Meetings take place twice a year, Thursday-Friday, lunch to lunch, in weeks 11 and 42. Between meetings, shorter digital meetings are held if necessary. Agendas are sent out at least 2 weeks before the meeting.
A guest can be invited to meetings to lecture on a current topic with the aim of developing skills, inspiring and opening paths for new research collaborations.
Membership
A researcher with a special interest in and documented research activity in colorectal endoscopy may be admitted as a member. Members undertake to participate actively in the group’s work, research projects, and attendance at meetings. A member who is absent from three consecutive meetings is excluded unless special circumstances exist.
Funding
CRS is a non-profit group. Research projects are financed through local research funds.
Paid industry advertisements can be published on the group’s website.
Any industry sponsorship of the group’s meetings must not have any impact on the group’s research projects.
